ONENESS PENTECOSTAL LIGHTHOUSE

PHOTO COLLECTION 1949

The Oneness Pentecostal Lighthouse Church celebrated its "Year of Jubilee", its 50th year in August, 1999. The church was founded by the late Rev. Ernest Stallard in 1949. He was the general overseer until he began pastoring the church in 1963. Between 1949, and 1963, the church was pastored by the late Rev. D. W. Durst of Charleston, WV., the Rev. John Paul Hughes, who is now the Regional supervisor for the contenent of Africa for the United Pentecostal Church International, Rev. J. D. Stallard, who now pastors in Morristown, TN., and then in 1964, the late Ernest Stallard was ordained into the ministry along with his youngest son, Curtis, in Oakland, MD., during the District Conference.

At this time the church elected Ernest to serve as its pastor and he remained in this position until 1974, when he was forced to retire due to illness. At this time, the church contacted and elected Curtis D. Stallard to serve as Pastor. The church celebrated its "Year of Jubilee" during the twenty seven years of his pastorate at the Oneness Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. Curtis Stallard passed the torch of caring for the church to Rev. John Looney in 2002. Due to illness, Curtis died on March 15, 2002, and the church elected John Looney to serve as pastor shortly after. From 2002 until the current year 2007, Rev. John Looney has pastored the Oneness Pentecostal Lighthouse Church.
