Position Summary
We are seeking a Part-Time Circular Economy & Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Farming Specialist to support the design, operation, and scaling of a BSF-based circular farming system. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience who is passionate about sustainable agriculture, waste-to-value systems, and community-led development.

Knowledge of BSF breeding preferred, although not necessary.
We are looking for ​someone who can roll up their sleeves to perform task.
Curiosity to learn is a ​big plus.
High School diploma preferred
Some farming experience required

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Some knowledge of Black Soldier Fly farming methodologies, or be willing to learn
  • Some understanding of circular economy and regenerative agriculture principles
  • Practical experience in small- to medium-scale agricultural systems
  • Ability to work in community-based and resource-limited environments
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with NGOs, cooperatives, or rural communities
  • Background in waste management, animal feed production, or sustainable livestock systems
  • Training or certification related to sustainable agriculture or circular economy

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the setup, operation, and optimization of Black Soldier Fly farming systems
  • Manage organic waste inputs and BSF larvae production cycles
  • Train and mentor local farmers and community members on BSF farming best practices
  • Contribute to integrating BSF production with poultry or livestock systems
  • Monitor production performance and support basic data collection
  • Provide technical guidance aligned with circular economy principles
